A forma como ele me descreveu a experiência convenceu-me.

Postcards from Bengalore: Nagarjuna Restaurant
On the flight from Coimbatore to Bangalore, I was one of three non-Indians on board, curiously enough, all coming from the same retreat, although each by their own means. I realized during these days in southern India that this is not an area where it’s usual to see foreigners, so when one appears, it arouses a lot of curiosity and attentive looks. So it was only natural that my flight neighbor approached me asking where I was from. Introductions made, the conversation flowed naturally. Dev, a customer manager for an industrial machinery company, is a foodie like me and immediately gave me a set of precious directions for my two and a half days in Bangalore, including this Nagarjuna, a typical restaurant in the neighboring state of Andhra. The way he described the experience convinced me.The main dish is Bhojanam, a vegetarian and very spicy meal served on a banana leaf, with hot rice and ghee, accompanied by rasam, sambar, spinach dal, sautéed vegetables, chutney, buttermilk, curd, papad, and jam. It is mixed and eaten with the hand. The rice and main side dishes are refilled as many times as you can eat them. I had lunch there on my first day and couldn’t eat anything else all day. But I only went to learn, and on the second day, I went back to enjoy it à la série. One of the best gastronomic experiences I’ve had! It’s not in my plans to return to Bangalore, but if I ever do, I’ll certainly go back to Nagarjuna.
